Peugeot LMP hunting down a Porsche 911

The Le Mans 24 Hours is a must do for any motor racing fan.

2023 celebrated the 100th anniversary of the first running of the Le Mans 24 hours, the inaugural event won by the French duo of Andre Lagache and Rene Leonard on board a Chenard-Walcker. And what a way to celebrate! The race ultimately decided in the last couple of hours after an off for the sole remaining Toyota GR010 as the team tried to chase down the leading Ferrari 499P, which itself suffered issues at it's last pit stop with the car reluctant to restart. The winning margin? 1m 21s... on a lap taking around 3m 20s.
2023 also saw an epic, even closer, contest in LMP2 which saw an unlikely result with a win by Inter Europol, flying the flag for Poland, just about 20s ahead of Polish driver Robert Kubica and teammates racing for WRT.
In its final year, GTE-AM was also a thrilling race though in the end Corvette took the win by a little over a lap from the best placed Aston Martin. 3rd was hard fought with the all-female crew of Sarah Bovey, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting missing out by a handful of seconds.

The Le Mans Hypercar class for 2024 is expanding to include entries from Alpine, BMW, Lamborghini and boutique marque Isotta Fraschini. LMP2 continues at the 24h race despite being dropped from the World Endurance Championship, while the new GT3-derived cars for the LMGT3 category is expected to be hard fought over the entry list, let alone on track. 2024's entry list includes Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche.

You can see the full entry list announcement on the FIA website.
