Guide to the series shown: (For schedules click on the racing of interest)

• NASCAR - National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing - predominantly raced on oval circuits in cars that look similar to American road cars

• IRL - Indy Racing League - again mostly raced on oval circuits such as Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 'wings and wheels'

• ChampCar - With a handful of top drivers including British driver Justin Wilson.  Similar to F1, runs mainly on 'road courses', visits Canada, Australia and Mexico

• Sports Cars & ALMS - Sports Cars - The key series in the US is 'Grand Am' with a mix of Grand AM sports prototypes and GTs in the style of the European and ALMS series, running on ovals and road courses.
  - American Le Mans Series, run to the same basic rules as the Le Mans 24 hour race.  A mix of prototypes and GT cars, on 'road courses'.
